Employment for All

This week we’re wrapping up National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). What a great observance! In special education, this is what it’s all about: preparing students for happy, fulfilling, and productive lives. In honor of NDEAM, this week’s FREE tool is a nifty community response form. Distribute it to local employers to promote and gauge their interest in working with high schools to coordinate employment opportunities for young people with disabilities. The form comes fromTransition Teaming: 26 Strategies for Interagency Collaboration,” a collection of tools and step-by-step strategies to help you support students working towards postsecondary goals. CEC’s Tool of the Week is a free resource designed to support you in your special education practice. Subscribe and it’ll be automatically delivered to your inbox!  Get your Tool of the Week.
