Spring into Science!

In less than a month, education professionals from all over the world will travel to Boston for CEC’s 2017 Convention and Expo. So this week’s FREE tool involves the story of a pair of mallards who raise their ducklings in the city of Boston! The story is part of a K–3 science lesson about life cycles and habitats that you can introduce just in time for the first week of spring. The lesson comes from “U-STARS~PLUS Science and Literature Connections,” a collection of 32 lesson plans that blend literacy with science instruction in ways that invigorate topics in science while motivating reluctant readers. CEC’s Tool of the Week is a free resource designed to support you in your special education practice. Subscribe and it’ll be automatically delivered to your inbox!  Get your Tool of the Week.
